| Once
you are settled in the Chambre d'Hote, at the end of the lane, we'll
meet up at our house for drinks before sitting down to a four course
dinner with wine (see Menu).
This means that you can get to meet your fellow guests - never more
than four people, and sometimes less - and get to talk to us about the
forthcoming weekend. On the Saturday morning we'll go to the ancient town of Niort, with its' castle and wonderful covered market. From there we'll head to a hidden restaurant for a delicious lunch. The afternoon is spent working on pictures that were taken in the morning, and learning about Photoshop. At the end of the afternoon there's time for a siesta before dinner at the house. Sunday morning, not too early, sees us on location in the countryside, and then heading off to a Ferme Auberge for lunch. The afternoon gives you a chance to learn some more skills to improve your pictures, and maybe print some of them. Roger heads off to the kitchen at 5.30 to start preparing dinner. You are free to continue working on computers, taking a country walk or having a siesta before our farewell dinner. The basic weekend runs from Friday evening to Monday midday (see Price), but we can organise "tailor made" breaks, given enough notice. |
