Roger and Jenny Stowell run digital photography courses from their base in the heart of the Vendee.
Situated close to La Rochelle, on the stunning Atlantic coast of France, the courses are very accessible
from the UK, either by plane, train or ferry.
Our aim is to help people, of all abilities, to improve their photographic technique, to understand their cameras, to learn to store their photographs and manipulate them on Photoshop, whilst having a relaxing holiday.

We will also introduce you to a wide range of tried and tested restaurants in the region. These are often well off the beaten track and are definitely worth a visit.

The mornings are spent  taking pictures either on location or at the base. We offer opportunities to learn about still life as well as landscape and reportage.
If you have a laptop, please bring it with you. If you do not have an Adobe Photoshop programme on your computer, it would be a good idea to download a free 30 day trial of either Adobe CS4 or Adobe Elements 7 or 8.
On a typical day we would leave for an interesting photographic location after breakfast, have a leisurely lunch in a good local restaurant,  returning to the base for an afternoon of Photoshop tuition. Most locations are nearby, and only entail drives of around 30minutes.

However, we do go to the coast on one day, which is an hour's drive away.

Late afternoons are spent relaxing round the pool or in front of a blazing log fire, depending on the season.
This is followed by a four course gourmet dinner with wine. ( see Menu)
