AUTUMN BREAK IN THE VENDEE
October and November are spectacular months in this area of forest and rivers.
Clear light and wonderful colour make for excellent photographic conditions.
On top of that, you will be eating superbly and drinking delicious wines.
Courses run from Thursday evening to Sunday lunchtime.
The weekend consists of two days and three nights of photography and gastronomy.
It starts with a 4 course gourmet dinner (see Menu), with selcted wines, on Thursday evening.
On Friday morning we will take photographs in the Forest of Mervent, and then
have lunch at the Le Moulin Migné. This is a magical restaurant hidden away on a farm.
The food is all from the farm - the saucisson, ham and rillettes are fantastic, as is the beef.
The afternoon is spent learning some Photoshop skills to apply to your pictures, at the house.
We have dinner at 8.00, after a few glasses of wine in front of the fire.
Saturday morning sees us in the ancient town of Niort, visiting the Halles and the outside
market, as a photographic exercise. We'll lunch by the river at L'Auberge de La Roussille.
This is situated facing a very pretty waterfall in the shade of huge plane trees. Classical cuisine
bourgeoise, followed by some more Photoshop at the house and dinner.
We tie up loose ends on Sunday, followed by a light lunch, if your flight does not leave until
the late afternoon.
The price includes all tuition and use of computers. Transport to and from
locations. A 4 course dinner with selected wines every evening, and your
accomodation. Lunches are not included.
